The Green Route

The stewardship of our scarce natural resources and the environment has now become a responsibility and a priority for everyone. Anton’s commitment to and investment in green policies has been a critical element in our development.

Leadership

As in every industry, we face challenge and change almost constantly. For us, a leader in the printing industry, it comes in many guises: The challenge of competing with on-line media for example, keeping abreast of changing technologies, managing squeezed margins, and the demands derived from ecologically driven issues.

Value

We operate our business by reinvesting profits to ultimately derive greater value for our customers. We can only succeed by sharing the added value with our stakeholders.

Sustainable

The environmental issue is here to stay. And so are we. As an established leader in the UK printing industry we have been incorporating sustainable solutions within our printing and business operations, for years.

Our Environment

Our view is that reducing our impact on the environment is totally compatible with efficiency improvements and increasing competitiveness.

Our Anton Green Route Programme is an integrated approach to managing the environmental impacts. It works because:

Our CEO is responsible for the achievement of our objectives.
We learn continually from internal and external audits.
Investment decisions include environmental criteria.
We keep in close touch with our customers in order to share our plans and align them with their priorities.

We have an Environmental Management System which is accredited for ISO 14001:2004. However, given our integrated approach this accreditation is part of a holistic strategy which brings together environmental, quality, human and ethical issues. For example production process changes may introduce new equipment which reduces wastage, reduces electricity consumption, and increases product consistency..
